FOX News Called Racist

WASHINGTON DC -- The charges in recent days by some — including former President Jimmy Carter — that opposition to President Obama and his policies are racially motivated have escalated and are now being aimed directly at the FOX News Channel.

"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told "NBC Nightly News."

Carter and others now accuse FOX News of intentionally playing on the racial hatred in society and setting back civil rights in America by decades.

"I guess even the village idiot gets curious about the news once in a while and needs a place to go," said Democratic strategist and MFTV political commentator Clinton Svinktaogle, "but appealing to the lowest common denominator is no excuse for blatant racism."

Svinktaogle explains that by repeatedly showing a black man as President they are confronting white fears and fanning the flames of hatred and violence against President Obama.

"The President makes news and we show that," said Mike Wallace, host of Fox News Sunday. "It is ridiculous to claim that simply showing the President being the President is somehow racist. Why aren't ABC, CBS, or NBC called racist when they televise one of his speeches?"

This week President Obama is making the rounds appearing on all the Sunday news shows, except for FOX.

"I think that if you cannot stop idiots from watching the so-called 'Faux' news," said Svinktaogle, "then Congress and the FCC should pass a law that their viewers should be forced to avert their eyes."
