The Lull Between the Bores

It's the eye of the political hurricane -- the Democratic convention having concluded while the opening gavel has yet to drop on the Republican's soiree in New York City -- and damnit we want our peace and quiet -- PLEASE.

Unfortunately we can still hear . . . the Peacock squawking . . . the Fox howling . . . the CBS Eye blinking . . . ABC and CNN, well, ABCing and CNNing.

It's enough to make a sane man book a reservation for a rubber room. After all, the political hurricane's landfall begins the day after Labor Day, when the campaign begins "in earnest." Yeah, right, in earnest.

So we urge our readers to find whatever quality quiet time you can ASAP.

In a related story, the Environmental Protection Agency reports that Antarctic Ozone Hole seems to enlarge significantly every four years.

It couldn't possibly be that all the hot air of Presidential political campaign speeches and the murder of crowing media pundits is the real cause of global warming . . . or could it?
