Survivor 7: The Mayo Clinic

ROCHESTER -- Filming has wrapped in Minnesota on the next edition of CBS's Survivor, which, by all accounts, promises to be the most entertaining and gripping chapter in the highly successful reality-based television franchise. Pitting two teams of eight gravely ill men and women against each other, the Hepitite Tribe will battle the Melanomas to outwit, outplay and outlast each other in order to win $1,000,000 of life saving treatment from the world renown medical center.

"We are very excited to be breaking new ground with our concept," said Mark Burnett, Executive Producer. "It's going to give a whole new meaning to an 'Immunity' Challenge -- and you just would not believe how fierce the competition became on the Reward Challenge for a morphine drip. I really think we've raised the bar on our competition."

Although details are sketchy as participants and production crew are exercising their usual high level of secrecy and security, the day-to-day Challenges are rumored to include the following:

"Terminally ill and deprived of basic medical care, your fate at the mercy of strangers . . . I am very excited," exuded host Jeff Probst in a TV Guide inteview. "No question, we are going to kill in our time slot next season."

Survivor 7: The Mayo Clinic is scheduled for broadcast this fall during November Sweeps.
