Local Attorney Goes Hollywood

MUDCAT FALLS -- Locally renowned defense attorney, Steve Dallas, has announced that he will produce and star in a new television series entitled, Steve Dallas' TV Appeals Court to begin airing this fall on MFTV.

"This genre totally misrepresents the U.S. legal system in that there is not even an appeals process. Who died and made Judge Judy God -- Or Judge Joe Brown? Or Judge Mills Lane or that Texas Justice guy?" said Dallas from his suburban home in Riverview Heights. "Plaintiffs and defendants alike are short changed and cheated every day in syndication. It is every American's right to appeal and appeal and appeal to the bitter end and I will do everything in my power to right that wrong."

The show already has a long waiting list of clients who have lost their cases on other television shows. Dallas also intends to provide litigants with legal representation using out of work TV attorneys, so ordinary citizens will no longer be disadvantaged by having to face a judge without competent legal advise.

"There is a great deal of unemployed legal talent out there, including Grace Van Owns from L.A. Law, Ben Stone from Law and Order and the entire staff from Ally McBeal," said Dallas enthusiastically. "We are right now -- even as we speak -- trying to option Helen Gamble from The Practice, now that ABC's pulled the plug on her, so at least we'll have first right of refusal."

The new reality show has not been given a time slot by MFTV and is seeking additional syndication outlets in other cities.
